Can anyone suggest ways of me improving security on my BB10 device. I have a very small business (2 people) so BES isn't really an option. I tried looking on the official site to see if there are offers etc for non BES users for additional security features but I couldn't find any.

So I was wondering if anyone could suggest any...

I think you can get BlackBerry cloud services in lieu of having a dedicated server running bes.

How do you go about getting the cloud services? I tried looking on the official site and I couldn't find any information.

I think it's a tailor made service. You're going to have to call a BlackBerry Business representative who I'm sure would explain requirements and costs associated. There is not much info on costs probably (and in my opinion) because each situation is unique and each business has different needs thus different levels of customization.

There are companies out there that have BES server services for the public and you create an account with them. They do all the infrastructure management of the servers then sell licenses to people who do not wish to host their own server. Depending on the level of security you are trying to achieve, this may be the mot cost effective route for you.

I can't seem to find any in the UK. All the "partners" listed on the blackberry website are either bust or don't offer the service for individuals.

Thanks Dave. I hope it is applicable to UK too... the link does not divert into a corresponding UK one.

Although I haven't used this myself I've heard of people on crackberry use this for personal use. You could probably find a thread on it. And there doesn't seem to be any restrictions to get this service.

Can somebody help me. The blackberry World on my BlackBerry Q5 has not been bringing in updates except for the few applications I downloaded from 3rd party. I have loads of old updates in there. What do I do?

You will need to download Blackberry World again from an official source.

Go to BlackBerry.com > click on apps > sign in with your Blackberry ID > Support > Apps > BlackBerry World > Select For Blackberry 10 > Click on "Download Blackberry World" icon > enter email of you device > a link for the download will be sent to your device > follow the download process through.
