Different hardware, system, core, and OS requirements.

It would be 10,000 times simpler to sawzall a Bold size hole in the center of a Passport, than to code a legacy clone OS to work on the Passport.... and even then it still wouldn't be OS7.1.

exactly, and java can run on any platform or architecture..or almost every one..

It's not because it is coded in Java, it is the way it is coded, which relies on a certain hardware configuration that isn't present in BB10 devices.

Why can't you install BBOS on your cable set top box? That's using Java too! Lol
