[CrackBerry Question]

I got a passport about 3 weeks ago from Rogers. Worked fine no issues. Few days ago my iPhone died on me so I decided to switch the iPhone sim to the blackberry passport( both SIM cards are Rogers). Worked fine again no issues.
Yesterday I got my iPhone fixed and put back the original passport sim back in the bb and no mobile network. It says sim not detected and when I go under sim settings it asks me for a network unlock code. I called Rogers and they tried a couple PUK codes and a wipe no change. My iPhone Rogers sim won't work on the passport now either. So basically neither of the 2 SIM cards are now working on the passport. Called blackberry and he said u can get a refurbished one since RMA expired. I don't want to do that. Has the device locked out or the sim tray busted? Do I need to go to one of those places to get an unlock code ??? I am totally confused as to what happened and why because both SIM cards are Rogers.

I think you damaged one of the pins on the Passport when you were swapping sims. Try inserting and removing sims a few times, one of the pins may be dirty. If it's damaged, it'll need a repair. This is not uncommon on any handset but the Passport is typically a tough device and just taking a sim out shouldn't have damaged it. When you were putting a sim in, did you put it in the wrong way by mistake? That may have bent a pin.

Was your iPhone ever locked to a carrier in the past? Sometimes when phones come back "repaired" they're also relocked.
