GPS on Passport
I've now used the PP several times with the home maps of BlackBerry and also with Navfree.
Logically when you loose connection to phone line you might run into problems with BlackBerry maps app, but several times already I had problems too with Navfree, where I have the maps downloaded, it seems GPS gets lost too when phone line is week, or could it be another problem?
BBVE tests show all right...

BlackBerry Map depends on both good GPS reception and Internet data in order to function. GPS apps that use offline maps only require a GPS signal for navigation, but may use additional information when there is also an Internet connection.
Good GPS location accuracy depends on receiving data from multiple satellites. Obsticals such as trees, mountains, or buildings will degrade GPS performance.
The antennas used to receive Internet data and GPS are separate. Cellular reception is not required to use offline GPS maps.

Thanks and yes this is what I thought too!
But somehow even when localisation is turned on the symbol did not show, and I was suspecting a defective GPS on my device, but tests say all good...
