Google Play store com.android.vending-6.0.0-cobalt build1 not installing on Z30
Hi. I was able to install Google services and the play store on two blackberry Z30 phones about a month ago using the instructions verbatim by Cobalt 232 (Google Play Store for BlackBerry 10 [Read first post for instructions]). Awesome. While attempting this on a third phone yesterday, the first 3 file installs work as expected, but not the final play store .apk.
Google Play Services 8.4.89 [Released on April 28, 2016]
Google Account Manager 4.3.3 [Released on October 10, 2015]
Blackberry Google ID 2.8 [Released on December 23, 2015]
This file starts to install but then a popup tells me something like "unable to install file" without an error code or anything.
Google Play Store 6.0.0 build 1 [Released on November 15, 2015]
I have the google seeting app, the BB google ID app, and the google accoutn app on the phone, but not the playstore app.
1. I did a hard reset (e.g. pressed both volume buttons) and tried again. Same thing.
2. Yes, 3rd part app installation is turned on.
3. The google gmail account is shown under Accounts.
4. I downloaded all files on Cobalt cloud and installed the three files mentioned above but not the vending.apk. Then I downloaded the vending file again separately, renamed it with a .apk, but that still didn't install.
I am using 10.3.2.556 software on BB Z30.
I have several GB of storage available, and 200MB of memory.
This phone has an SD card while the other phones I used did not. Not sure if that makes a difference.
All phones have a personal perimeter and a work space partition; I am downloading an installing to the personal perimeter.
Thank you for your help.
