@George that version you just posted had the same camera issues and was very clunky for me. I've went back to the first version that worked. Hopefully I can find one that works. Really appreciate you making the effort to upload one though, thanks.

I started off with the early version you posted then made my way through these to see at what point I hit problems.

Currently I'm at version 9.1.0.0. Without any issues. Camera working but a bit clunky. Not sure how far to push it. What was the last version before people had problems?

I think older versions past 9.X.X.X will work. Currently, 9.3.1.0 is working anything past it has not been successfully.

Fwiw I have just updated to 9.3.1.0 and it's working fine for me. Not sure if this has any relevance or just coincidence with the camera issue. I installed the earliest version posted then went to George's "last working version " not sure which version it was as the filename had been changed and forgot to check before uninstalling and suffered camera issues. On this occasion I did incremental updates until I got to 9.3.1.0 and haven't experienced issues.

Could be something of nothing!

So how did you get the working version? Trying and failing so far at getting mine to work 4.1.7.0 isn't working for me now!

I don't know what else to suggest. Only thing I can think of was the order of events for me.
Firstly I changed my password for snapchat from the site because my account had been locked for using snap10.
Then I downloaded George's early version.
Then I went here http://www.apk4fun.com/history/1299/ and just kept getting newer versions until I got to 9.3.1.0
Also did a few reboots in between.
Strange thing was George's version he posted I couldn't get the camera to work but the same version from the above site does work!

Could gradually upgrading rather than going straight from earliest to last working make a difference? Doesn't sound feasible but it worked for me.

Yup that's it. They fixed the hole in older versions. Snapchat is done forever. Get an iPad or other Android device to use. I uninstalled and reinstalled the old version to troubleshoot and you can no longer login using the old version. Bye bye having snapchat on the BlackBerry. To those who still have it, this install will pretty much be your last. Next time you destructive update or logout that will be it. Sorry.

I've tried patching every version since the 4.7. Even the 9.1 beta. No Bueno.
Here's to hoping we get a genius to figure something out.

It DOES work. I used the patch and it worked for a long time.
Since then I have done a few backups and updated the OS a few times and changed some apps.. after this it hasn't worked but that is because I did something.. At any rate, I don't have too many apps that require the play store so until I do, I'm not going to worry about it.. but again this patch DOES work if you follow the instructions and it's done correctly. Have Fun and Good Luck! :-)
