Yes and yes. Use Snap and Lucky Patcher to remove Google dependence.

Im not sure how you guys got this working, I downloaded the google maps apk (using 8.4.1 as other people in the forum say that 9.x runs slow on the q10)

I installed lucky patcher, patched the gmaps apk, installed the patched gmaps and i get that error

I even tried uninstalling gmaps and installing cobalts google play services. and then resinstalling gmaps, but i get the same error

    "Unfortunately, Maps has stopped."
As soon as i click 'OK' It exits the application

Anyone have any ideas of what i can try?

Do NOT patch Google Maps. It is not required and doesn't work. Just run it unpatched. You can turn off the message about Google Play services with the Android settings app from my Google landing page.

The app gets stuck. Nothing works. Just opens and thats all.
If you have the perfect google map which works and navigates correctly, send me the link cobalt. Stuck with this!!
