did you install a different launcher? if not, check your settings. display, home screen. the choice to display that should be in settings....

Hold a blank spot on your home screen. Pick widgets, then look for google you will see the bar. Hold it till it goes to the home screen and put it where you would like it.

Either holding on blank spot or pinching on home screen also works ...
