Hi. I just gave my mom my mom a brand new Z30. She has her own # and SIM card.
I got her to try putting in her own ID, but now my device is asking me for new (probably her) information.

Can this be done? For her to get her own ID and me keep mine??

    Thank you!

Did you do a security wipe on her Z30? this will wipe the device, and during setup, she will set up her own BB ID.

From BlackBerry.com: How to Wipe your device to delete your data

Before you wipe your BlackBerry device, consider backing up your data on a computer. A security wipe is designed to permanently delete your data so it can't be recovered. This includes email accounts, downloaded apps, media files, documents, browser bookmarks, and settings.
    1. On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2. Tap Settings > Security and Privacy > Security Wipe.
    3. Type blackberry.
    4. Tap Wipe Data.

That didn't work. It made me use her password/id to get into MY phone...

    This was to bravurags suggestion...

Thanks, she isn't too worried, she just can't use BBM.
    I will keep going.

It sounds like you did the right things then, but in the wrong order.

It might be a bit of a pain now, but just get it done. Get some 3rd party apps to backup your contacts and such.

Then wipe both phones. Log in with your ID on your phone, then log in with her's on her phone.

    Done.

This method... Then reapply for a new (same?) Id which you should be able to on your new device.

Plug your old BlackBerry to your computer.
In BlackBerry link select "switch device"
    Follow the instructions
Wipe your old device once you are satisfied with the transfer.
