Hi everyone,

I am a new passport owner, switching from a BB 9360. It has been working great for one week. I simply love it. Unfortunately, today when I need to do video conferencing (first time using Skype on passport), the front camera just can't be started. I don't take photos using my phone so basically this is the first time I use the camera.
The rear camera works fine, I just can't switch to the front camera. I try to reset the camera to factory setting (BB Link/Reload) but the problem does not go away. Does anyone experience similar problem? Any solution or is this a faulty unit?

Is the button to switch the camera there or not? Also is the button greyed out, i.e. is it not clickable?

Thanks for helping me. The button is there and functions well. It brings me to the camera interface which allows the use of the rear camera. If I switch to the front camera, the notice pops up (Camera can't be started) and freezes.

Did you check if the front Cam works without Skype engagement? If it does and not on Skype, perhaps Insufficient support to skype.

Yes, I have checked. It does not work with Skype, Viber, or the default camera app.

I have figured out the problem. Somehow the OS or an app damaged the SD card. I have removed the card and reformatted it. Now everything works fine.

Also this seems to be a common problem with OS 10. I google and find many with the same problem. Someone with a Z10 suggests this a problem with the media license.
