When I'm on a forum people say OP a lot. What does it mean?

'it all started with the  Priv...then the Vienna?'

When I'm on a forum people say OP a lot. What does it mean?

'it all started with the  Priv...then the Vienna?'

For non-gaming forums, OP generally means Original Post or Original Poster, thus pointing out the post is meant to address whatever the first post on the forum thread was about. Like, "Why are we giving iPhone tips when the OP has a Z30??"

In gaming forums, it can also mean Over Powered, as in whatever topic of the thread is meant to discuss some aspect of the game that is more powerful than what the poster feels is necessary. Like; "The player class "Whatever" is so OP they can solo content meant for large groups."
