Hi All,
This is my first time post, but I have been using the site for a long time to find answers to my issues with Blackberry over the past few years, but unfortunately I couldn't find this question being asked before, so here goes...

I have a 2011 Ford F150 and have successfully synced my previous Blackberry phones, but I have not been able to get Sync to find my new Z30 or have my Z30 to find the truck, so it is impossible to use my "hands free", has anyone run into this yet?

I had my z10 paired up to a rental Escape with sync and it worked out fine. as per usual have you tried making the device discoverable?

Yes it is discoverable.

I just got my z30 last week, previously had a Z10. No problems hooking up to my 2013 F150 sync.

I occasionally have to reboot my phone for it to sync with Sync. No idea why.

Make sure you delete any previously paired devices. I went from a Z10 to a 30 and had a similar issue, until I deleted my Z10... then it worked fine.

Turn off rSAP mode or individually all the toggles in rSAP menus

I've successfully paired my Z30 with multiple Fords (including my own F-150), GM, Kia, and other makes.

I've had similar problem when I went from a z10 to a Z30. We deleted the old device however the problem came back. So they (Ford dealer) told me to delete the Z30, pulled the SD card out of the dash of the truck for 10 minutes and then unhook the negative battery cable on the truck, wait 30 minutes and then put the SD card back in the slot in the dash, hook up battery cable then pair my phone. It worked like a champ and I've had no problems since. That was about 4 month ago. Good luck

Has anyone figured out how to bring up the latest 10.3.0.1052 Blackberry Assistant using the Sync button? I previously hit the button and said "Call Blackberry Device Control" or something like that, and the Assistant would ask "What would you like to do?". Now, I tried "Call Blackberry Assistant" and it works, but just sits there and doesn't ask anything?

UPDATE: Tried it again today and after "Call Blackberry Assistant", it responded with "What would you like to do?"

To the OP, I was able to pair my wife?s Q10 with a rental Ford by doing the pair as a media device instead of a phone. After doing that it worked with all features with no problems. Overall I can see why Ford would look to change their infotainment provider as the Sync system is just buggy.
