My blackberry 9220 is switched off n not turning on. when connected to blackberry desktop software it ask for update. but when click on update it ask for PIN. what is PIN n how can i get it from phone. plz help.

That would be the password you set on the phone. You must have set one otherwise you'd be able to update the phone without having to enter it. If you can't remember the password, you're out of luck so try to remember it (but you have only 10 attempts to get it right so be careful).
