Filed emails not showing up in hub

I've just switched phones and I found I had a trail of 6GB worth of emails hidden in my hub! This is mostly because even though I have 'show read filed emails' on, they disappear from the hub as soon as I file them. And until then, they double up so one shows up filed and unread and one shows up unfiled and unread.

Has anyone seen this? Anything to do with the folder sync? (which I keep turning off but it seems to be turning itself back on).

This is for a gmail account. My OS is 10.3.2.286 (unfortunately, since I'm also suffering from the android runtime failed uninstal bug!)

Side note, very happy I made the switch from q10 to classic! Just looking to clean up my emails so the hub responds a bit better.
