Facebook contacts appearing when composing a text/email

I've gone into the contacts and settings the hid the facebook contacts from my address book.

BUT.

When i go compose a text and im searching all the facebook contacts appear and its driving me insane.

when i log out of facebook they go away.

So how can i say logged in on facebook but not have all those bloody contacts appear when i go to compose a text or email

I don't think there is a way to disable, and yes it is aggravating.
