I have noticed lately that my z30 Facebook app misses stories in the News Feed as compared to my iOS devices. Some are from personal contacts and some are from feeds I follow from professional sites. Is this common for anyone else?

Yes, everyone else. The facebook app sucks for BB10, there have been many threads on it.

Make sure both site and app are set to the same feed style: Most recent or Main Stories.

I just checked and I get exactly the same content on both ends. (Also check if your app is up to date).

While I can agree it's not as complete as the other apps, it does get the job done if you know how to use it.

On the bright side, we don't need to download an extra app for messaging.

Facebook feeds are tinkered with constantly by Facebook itself based on what you like/read and what others in your friend list like/read as well. What you are experiencing is probably just a "Facebook thing" -- your Z30 is not "missing" anything.
