[CrackBerry Question]

I'm not sure what happened but I thought I was emptying the trash for an email address and now all my messages for that address are gone. Here's what I did:
1. From the main Hub page I tapped the blue bar at the top of the screen
2. I navigated into the email account's Trash Folder
3. I saw that all of the messages in there were ones that I don't want to see again
4. I tapped and held the top date to select all of the messages in the folder
5. I selected the "Delete Prior" icon
6. I got a message about how some messages would only be deleted from the Hub and some would be deleted from the server as well.
7. Since I didn't want to keep the selected messages I tapped "Continue".
8. After a long time the messages deleted.

To my surprise, all of the messages from the account were gone. Anybody know what happened?

BTW, I started out trying to figure out how I can delete just a single message since the latest OS update. I used to be able to press and hold a message and then select delete. Now that just opens the message.

Well when you touched delete prior, it means everything up to that date.

But I was in the trash folder. Shouldn't that only delete the prior messages in the trash folder?
