The BlackBerry Classic is available for "order" on Amazon. But according to the information that I have read to date, the Classic is not "compatable" with the Verizon Network. Can anyone confirm if that information is true ?

Because it requires CDMA radio specific for VZW use. The ones available now are GSM.
It is true, if you have Verizon you'll need to wait until Verizon starts selling the Classic (next month it sounds like).
Because so far Shop BlackBerry has not sold any CDMA devices.
