I am thinking about going back to Blackberry platform but this BIS thing not required by a BB10 device but networks forces to you use them is really worrying me. Could someone help me with his experience?

BIS is not required for BB10 devices and none of the networks force you to use them. You can use the normal 3G packages!

    Good luck with your purchase

No, you do not need BIS for BB10. Though a lot of the customer services reps at the customer service centres and helpline are not aware of this and when you tell them that you have a BlackBerry they would ask you to subscribe to BIS. All you need is a regular data plan and not BIS and you're good to go.

Exactly, with BlackBerry you will have to do your own research or you can ask here. The BB10 devices are grossly misunderstood!

If they try to force you to put on bis then tell them it's for an iPhone or Android and then just pop the sim into the BlackBerry and it will work perfectly

I would rather smack them (metaphorically :|) for not knowing about the device.
