    Hello,

I'm using Blackberry Classic with updated OS. I browsed my file manager yesterday and deleted some items in the Android folder. And now, I cannot install APK files. What's the solution on this? Please help me.

    Thank you.

To Lusitano17 thank you. But is there another, any easier way? Now, when I'm trying to open the android folder again it says "Permission denied".

To Moegh, I already tried restarting the phone many times and still cannot install APKs. Lesson learned, don't mess with the Android folder again. Haha I just get curious because there are duplicated photos and music on that folder.

Try resetting using both volume up and down for a few seconds

I've had this problem before and as I remember restart should work

Those are symbolic links, not duplicates.

    Double check the original files.

I restarted my phone as you instructed me to do but still cannot install apk. I don't know what's wrong, I got a lot of free memory both device and card, I allowed the installation from other sources on the settings.

I used to install apk files smoothly without issues before but then I open that android folder in the misc, file manager. Deleted some files and that's when the problem started. I guess I'll just live with it and wait for the next OS update. Thanks guys for the help, I appreciate it.

When I delete a picture on that android folder, the original photo will also be deleted on the other folder. I used to install apk files with no issues before. I guess I'll just live with it and wait for the next OS update. Thanks guys for the help, I appreciate it.

When you start messing around with the Android folders, you may need to do a clean install of the OS, as many things can be irrevocably damaged.

The link I directed you to is really the only fix you have if you want to reinstall any previous apk back on to OS 2876.

You could reload your OS but read Cobalt's thread. It does sound technical but he has provided all the directions and required bar files...waiting for BlackBerry to respond to this may not be the quickest solution..

Did you try and create an android folder in place of where the last one was?

Try sideloading the android files, you can find them in the forum

    Hello,

Yes I created a new folder with the same name but still not working. As of today, I still can't install the APKs that I've downloaded.

Back up on Link, if your media etc is on SD card, remove it, do a security wipe and then restore only the components you want from link, re insert SD card and you should be good. Alternatively, back up on Link, run an autoloader (a quick search on here will find one), restore the components you want and you're done.
