Just got a new corp phone, Blackberry Classic. I'm setting up a profile for on-call work, and want to make sure if I'm chatted via the "Enterprise IM" app, it makes a loud noise so I don't miss it. I also increased sounds for texts and phone calls on this profile as well, in case I'm sleeping when called.

The changes I've made to phone call ringers / volume, as well as texts and emails work fine. However under "Other Applications" when setting the notifications up, I choose my "Enterprise IM" and set vibrate on, give it a sound (Ringtone Lightspeed), volume cranked, "All Notifications" checked, "Sound" checked, and nothing. If someone chats me I don't hear anything, no vibration, no notification. Just a new icon in my Blackberry Hub.

    Am I missing something?

There are problems with Enterprise IM and phones on BES12 I know that much. What do your work place have your Classic on, BES10 or 12?

    10.3.1.941.

It's the strangest thing. I can't get this app to make a peep. I've tried to edit the standard profile, make a new one, reset them, everything. Why don't you alert me Enterprise IM!!!

What version of BES have your IT people put your phone on, BES10 or BES12? Ask them. If 12 there are currently compatibility problems with Enterprise IM, could be related.
