My contacts are really messed. Some doubles, some names with no info, etc.

Is it added to the name, or the number?
Are you adding it in English or another language (have to ask just because there are many multilingual people on here)
Also, please include your device, OS, and any pertinent information when you reply (such as how did you get to the OS? OTA update? sachesi? autoloader?)
Seems to be a problem in old 10.2 and 10.1MR OS's.
Kindly post your device, OS, and any pertinent information when you reply (such as how did you get to the OS? OTA update? sachesi? autoloader?)
Seems like the contacts being messed up is a problem with certain updates and OS's. It also gets messed up when you backup restore across major OS revisions and/or install certain android apps like skype (shouldn't be an issue in new 10.2.1 and 10.3 builds)
I have 10.2.1.2179 that was released by AT&T in April. I have no android apps. That's when they got messed up. Contacts were linked when I didn't want them to be, there were duplicates, address categories (home, work) all became "other". If I brought up my own contact, I got a picture of my husband, etc. I sspent many hours manually correcting many of my over 1000 contacts.
Then I started having the double typing issue. (that's another story). Last week I emailed BlackBerry and was told to back up my phone then reinstall the software. I did that, and restored my backup. Naturally my contacts were messed up again. Also my calendar lost all the recurrent appointments. I am too tired to fix all that again, though I will when I have time.
This is all too time consuming. I may wipe my contacts and calendar and re-sync them from outlook. That, of course will give me many contacts I don't need on the phone.
