I'm switching carriers, want to check before changing SIM.

Local contacts are stored on the device, so they would need to be exported to another program, like Gmail or Outlook, or moved to your memory card if you are changing devices. Synced contacts, like from Outlook, etc., would be stored in that program and would be recovered when you sync a new device. BBM are stored on BBM servers and would appear in BBM on a new device when you sign in with your BBID. I don't believe just changing the SIM on the same phone would disturb your contacts.

If you click it, yes... :-)

But, just get a contact manager app from BlackBerry World and export to VCF or CSV (Outlook or Google), just to be on the safe side, if Link decides not to restore... :-)
