    Either Backup Pro or Ultimate Backup on BBW will do it complete with photos. I prefer the former.

    Ultimate Backup and SD card as medium. The most dangerous thing that can happen to your contacts is that you destroy one with the Contacts app or an OS update kills all at once (as I had it). In this case a backup directly on the device is the best solution.
