    Guys I'm using BlackBerry Z10 STL 100-1 with 10.2.1.3245 OS
    My contact app dark mode does not respond as it remains light mode, what is problem with it, is this a bug in this OS or is it my personal phone software problem..?

    Try a hard reset first, then make sure you exit the app totally then open back up,

    Then its the os, you would have to load a new one, or try reloading the one your on,

    Dark theme only work on contact open with contact app. Contact open from phone app(where you dial) will still on white theme. Kind of weird bug because it seem there is two separate contact view.

    Symbian is still and always my favourite Os. Nokia 808. FilePLAY Music Player

    Please explain what you are doing to get the dark theme in contacts. If you go to settings inside the home screen contacts app, the instructions underneath the dark theme button say to back out and reopen the app to apply changes. Did you do that?

    Yes, in contact app the option is dark background, and further it ask to close the app and then reopen, but when I close and reopen the app it remains light...

    I am having the same problem with my BlackBerry Classic running 10.3.2. I have made the change from the native Contact app as well as close and reopen after changing. The switch turns off every time I close and reopen.

    I am able to change to Dark Mode in the calendar app.

    Anyone have any updates on this issue or work arounds?

    Since this is a 5-yr-old thread, you might want to first update your Classic's OS version to 10.3.3 to see if the Dark Mode issue was addressed in the core software.
