I plan on leaving my Classic in the docking station while working at my desk. My phone pretty much let's me know what is going on throughout my day so I like it propped up.

I believe older Blackberry's (possibly newer ones as well) had a built in safe guard that stopped the device from over charging.

Does the Classic have this safe guard so I can keep it on the docking station (charger) all day or will I burn it out and shorten the life of the phone? I wouldn't worry so much if the battery was replaceable...but as you know, it isn't.

Every cell phone since the turn of the millennium has this 'safe guard'
    Don't worry about it.

I thought the same thing until my Moto Maxx over heated and stopped working properly. According to VZW it was from keeping it on the charger. I didn't challenge it because my contract was up so I took the opportunity to get back in with BB via the Q10.

    Thanks for the info.
