I logged in bbm with another device and then when I tried to use my BBM again with my phone it won't it says "transferring your BBM information " and keeps on loading for hours without any progress

Dunno if it's a coincidence but I just switched BBM from my passport to classic and neither is working with any of my contacts. Just get greyed out ticks next to each message I've sent.

You have to wait until the transfer of bbm to another phone is complete (all groups and images and chats etc) before switching back to the previous phone. This might take a while, and BBM sometimes gets confused if switching happens too soon after the first switch. Bbm wasn't made this way to allow for constant & fast switching.
