    I went to minimize browser to return a text and it shut off... locked my phone and music shut off... what the heck?? When did this happen??

    This was one thing that drove apple and android ppl nuts that we could do!!!! Now we have nothing over them except a PKB I guess. Come onnnnnnn. BlackBerry just getting killed daily

    Android could always run YouTube in the background - just not with Chrome or the official YouTube app.

    Just clear your browser cookies and history, quit the browser, and open it again.

    What phone are you on? I have a Passport SE and the youtube playing when minimized stopped working for me too unexpectedly. Reloading my OS fixed the problem with the latest 10.3.3.2205 OS.

    Firefox in the newer version doesn't work anymore in mobile mode, switch to "force Desktop" in FF menu and you will be able to play continuously even if screen switched off and via Bluetooth speakers.

    (Applies to Android Firefox beta 54.0)
