Got a new Q10 sent from BT but it needs a smaller sim then I have in my old BB. Waiting for new sim to be sent so I thought I would turn my new Q10 on to have a look. But on the screen is bb10-0015 and it wont go away.
BT says it needs the sim to work but I am sure a phone should turn on with out a sim, can any one help?.
That error has nothing to do with your SIM not being in it as yes, you can start one up w/o a SIM in it. Sounds like BT sent you a device with software issues. - BlackBerry 10 OS error codes - US. You have two options really. Reload the OS yourself and see if that fixes it or call them and tell em they sent you a bunk device.
I used a new Q10 without a sim for several days while waiting for a prepaid card by mail. I was adding music files and customizing the screens.
Sure, as long you don't want to make phone calls or send texts.
