    SD card will be automatically encrypted if setup as adoptable storage (extended device storage).

    Used as an external memory card, it will not be encrypted.

    If Samsung can do it Why I it that Blackberry cannot. It is the same software. Samsung states quite clearly that you can encrypt and decrypt SD memory cards so that it can be read in another phone or computer.

    BlackBerry Android, as I described above, follows the standard Marshmallow implementation.
