Can my 9330 be use with a local service provider in Colombia?

I am an retired American expat living in Colombia, S.A. My son just sent me two Blackberry 9330 Curve's, one Sprint and the other Verizon. I see that they have no SIM capability so my question: Can they be used with a local Blackberry service provider, our service is GSM for my other mobiles but I have never used a Blackberry. They connect to my Wifi immediately.
We have many poor people here that can't afford cell phones and I give many away from the states that have been retired.

Without being SIM compatible they're of no use there sadly.
