    First off, welcome to CrackBerry!
Please update your profile to include device, carrier, and location. This makes it easier for others to help you.

BIS is only for legacy BBOS devices like Curve, Bold, Torch, etc.

All BB10 devices including your Z10 use a regular smartphone data, the same as any other smartphone. If you have a Z10 now and you're still on a BIS plan, contact your carrier as soon as possible to swap plans.

Yes. You can still use BIS plans with BB10 phones, but understand, it may not work the same way it would with older (BBOS) phones, i.e. the benefits like compression and push email may be gone.

BB10 doesn't require BIS plans, but that's not to say carriers do or don't.

Most carriers block it when they detect the Z10

Hello rana. I am from Pakistan. I use telenor and previously I used bis from telenor but with bb10 you don't need bis for it to work. Its just costs money with no additional benefits. You can simply get it from your service provider if you need it for some reason. Who is your service provider?

Yes. I am on Z10STL100-1/10.3.0.1052. Warid has a bis plan but like I said its totally unnecessary. If you still want it just call the help line and ask them to activate it for you. I don't know about Warid but telenor has a special version for bb10. Good luck

Your employer needs a BES 10 implementation to get Balance.

Zocster: its okay to do it here. Cultural differences

Yas: I don't know about ufone but telenor has a special BIS for bb10. Its an eyewash though. They will tell you that you need that for BlackBerry. It costed 600 and i got 10 emails 4gb Internet. And then you have to pay for postpaid on top of that. BlackBerry does not provide BlackBerry email address anymore. Your previous email address will forward emails on your new address.

I had 9900 before and I was on a regular BIS with BlackBerry email. BlackBerry has changed that. You dont need a bis anymore.

Any plan should work, including a BIS plan. I still have my BIS plan from 6 years ago which only costs me $24/month for unlimited BIS with VVM (now there's no unlimited) and hasn't changed since my Bold 9700. Although you might want a specific one that includes Visual Voicemail if your BIS plan didn't include it. Other than that, any data plan will work. Even Wi-Fi!

No need to login to the blackberry.net portal to setup anything anymore. You might want to migrate your old @carrier.blackberry.net email address though. It'll be email forwarding from now on, for about a year. (they say a year but I'm still receiving forwarded email)

As long as the BIS plan includes a bucket of data, yes. you can certainly use a BlackBerry data plan for your BB10.
