    I'm frustrated that when I use an app occasionally I don't want it to appear on the home screen but it always does. Are there solutions?

    On BB10?

    Think of the homescreen like the taskbar in a Windows PC, and the active frames (rectangles) are basically programs that you have opened and minimized.

    In that same sense there is no way of preventing an app (that isn't designed to run in the background) from showing up on the homescreen/taskbar.

    Yeah, I think the op is talking about the active frames.
