    I am trying to set up my dads email on his blackberry q10 and it keeps saying the email and/or password is incorrect. I have signed into the account on my laptop and the password is correct. But nothing i do is helping. Could microsoft be the problem. I had this issue with a previous blackberry device he had as well but no email was able to be signed into on that phone. So i sent it back to where i ordered it from.

    Does he have two-step authentication activated?

    In which case an app-specific password is required

    That is odd.
    1. What type of email are you setting up? Hotmail?
    2. Has this been constant for days or just hours?
    3. Have you tried to activate his email on another device?

    Its hotmail, it seems to be just his email, because i tried my email and it was added but i called microsoft and they are saying its a blackberry problem which makes no sense if other emails can be added from hotmail. I genuinely don't understand what is the problem.
