    HI Guys,
My Z10 has been damaged beyond repair so I have bought a Galaxy Note 3.

I have a recent full back up file (.bbb) done with BBlink. I cant find anyway to get it onto my Samsung.

Is there a genius out there? Tried...

    Magicberry...no
    converting to a .zip file...no
    Samsung Smartswitch...no

I am desperate...please help me Crackberry, you're my only hope

    No...nothing.

I cant do anything with the Z10 as its not working.

I cant see anything on BBlink that will let me do it

Samsung Smartswitch says the .bbb file is corrupt (Its not) or encrypted (it is) and it cant read the data.

I am beginning to hate BB and I used to love them so.

Oh I see now. You want to transfer the information from that backup file to your Note. Yeah, I don't know how you'd do that.

Best bet. Sell your Note and get a new BB10 device.

Move away from the Z10 fine. But not to Samsung. Maybe try the Z30 or hold out for the Passport. Also known as the Note killer.

No. A .bbb file is a blackberry backup file.

It's pin tied to your device, and encrypted to I KY work on blackberry devices.

There is NO way to restore it.

You can't even get another BB10 device and load it on there, since it's pin tied.

Learn how to use cloud storage, and local backups.

Or ya know, don't buy crappy samsungs.

You can't transfer a BlackBerry backup data into another phone. The data is meant only to be read by a BlackBerry phone.

Steps to get it to work:

    1) Go find a friend with a Z10 of the same model
    2) Get their permission
    3) Do a full backup of their phone
    4) Security wipe their phone
    5) Make sure the Z10 have an OS of same or newer version with the one you made a backup of
    6) Restore the backup data into your friend's Z10
    7) Now start converting the data
    8) After you're done, restore your friend's Z10
    9) Give them their phone back
    10) Apologize for the fact that this whole thing is necessary in the first place

I have never seen a backup data that is encrypted, I don't encrypt my phone and the backup process never asked for a password or whatever. The backup data is never tied to your PIN, that would defeat the whole purpose of a backup. At worst it is protected by password based encryption

Everything you said is true except it is NOT pin tied. It is linked to your BBID

Since you have an encrypted backup, you cannot load that or read it without your BlackBerry. If you could, that would defeat the purpose of an encrypted file entirely.
