    I don't use it and get constant update notifications and I don't like the app being able to share files, location, camera etc.

    If you are using OS 10, you can use BB10/playbook to delete it, it will re load on the next re-start but if you do not touch it it will not load. Thus be dead.

    Disable it with Parental Controls.
    Go to device settings...security and privacy....Parental controls....disable as desired.
