Your native picture viewer can resize, cut and paste, change color, add some frames... Just open "Pictures" then "Edit"

How do you resize in native photo editor? Cannot find it, only crop.

@sir yems you need some photo editor to resize your photos, Effetica Social (free), Effetica Pro (paid), Photo Studio (free), Photo Studio Pro (paid). There are few other apps.

    U mean rescale?

Not sure what app does it but the feature to "rescale images before sending" is built into email.. used to be in bbm as well.. but not anymore

Yep, rescale is another name for that operation The problem with built-in method is zero control over size of the sent image, in photo editor you know exactly how big your picture is (in pixels, and in Effetica you can also see approximate size in MB)

Agree. The current implementation is weak.
It didn't show pixel size but used to show the picture size in mb during the prompt to resize "small 54kb, medium 250kb, large 800kb, original 1.7mb" etc.
I think the default scaler uses percentages, haven't checked though.

Manually... "playing" with the image, taking screenshots and editing them. Zooming, cutting, changing format, sending it as email... many ways to do what you want to do.

    Here's an example:
I want a 4:3 format of this snowman, zoom on the face...

    Here we go:

    Original:
    Attachment 336433

Zoom in on the face, screenshot (or cut and save as new image, I prefer screennshot if it is an image taken by the phone itself)
    Attachment 336434

    Rotate
    Attachment 336435

    Change format, cutting 4:3
    Attachment 336436

    Rotate back, save:
    Attachment 336437
    (final image)

You can then send the final image as email and chose the size.

Done, with the phone itself, no Apps!
    Cheers.

#Squaredroid from Google Play works brilliantly, it takes any pic and converts it to the exact size for whatsapp and bbm!!

Edit: sorry this is if you need to use the pic as a display pic.

Sometimes, taking a screenshot from the image you intend to use just reduces the size drastically.
