How is that done? He didn't know. I described the photo to him, and he said it looked like the photo from his linkedin

I think the photo showed because in contacts that is the photo. You can change it to another photo. In contacts when linking accounts you can switch the photo to another linked account. Hope that helps. Whatever photo is in contact will show.
