Hi,

I'm looking for a solution to keep my phone somehow safe at my open-space workplace. I'm away from my desk frequently and I don't want to take my phone with me always. Is there any app that will buzz or scream, when the phone is detached from the power outlet, unless the phone is unlocked?

So, phone unlocked and detached: no buzz
Phone locked, while detached: buzz

Is there any other scenario/solution to avoid unwanted phone lifting from strangers?

I don't see how the phone buzzing will help you when it's not an alarm. That being said there is an app that will do what you are asking but i don't remember the name of it.

Hub++ gives the option but just a vibration, not an alarm sound. You could charge it through the USB port on your laptop?

Oh and there is an app Antitheft Alarm: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/35081891

(it's VERY annoyingly loud, so in case your fear of the phone being stolen is not overwhelming, you might need to avoid this as it may disturb your colleagues every time you pick up the phone)
