Currently have a Bold 9930 on T-Mobile that only runs at EDGE speed. Would a Bold 9900 run 4G on T-Mobile, or would that back down to EDGE as well? Seems the 9900 doesn't have 4G LTE capability only HSPA. Trying to keep the trusty Blackberry. How about Classic on T-Mobile?

My Passport connects at 4GLTE according to the indicator.
TMOBILE site says: Unlimited Blackberry – Unlimited Nationwide 4G
    https://www.t-mobile.com/shop/addons...Tab_BlackBerry

    t-mobile.com/shop/addons/services/information.aspx?PAsset=InternetEmail&tp=Svc_Tab_B lackBerry

Maybe others can add to this.

BOLD doesn't have the hardware for LTE speeds... not sure T-Mobile has HSPA Service everywhere anymore, taught they were phasing some out.

Yes the Classic will work.... if you can find one that was designed for their network. An Unlocked one should work fine too.. think there was only one rare band missing.

You want the SQC100-4 Classic, so look at T-Mobile Classics and any model sold in Canada.

I can confirm you can use a unlocked AT&T 9900 on T-Mobile. It has the correct 4G frequencies of the new reframed network. Since all the network changes. The T-Mobile Bold 9900 doesn't support 4G in most places where they have upgraded the network. The ATT model will work!

You are correct. The band that is missing on the Classic and any model prior is Band 12 or otherwise known as Extended Range LTE (700). The Priv is the only model to currently have it.
