Hello . someone answer me know if I can use the BlackBerry smart card reader in two Blackberry's, blackberry passport and bold 9900?
UPDATE: According to spec sheet:
System Requirements and Compatibility
The BlackBerry Smart Card Reader works with:
• All Bluetooth-enabled BlackBerry smartphones
I also see the option on my Passport under Security and Privacy.
Hope that helps.

Which one do you have? I only found this description so far:
RIM BlackBerry Smart Card Readers - PRD-09695-001 for Blackberry 8700c 8700g 7100i 7100g 7100r 7100t 7100v 7100x 7105t 7130e 7250 7290 7520
:(
These (I believe) are used for Bluetooth connection from the reader to the Blackberry using a CAC in order to send SMIME encrypted emails, but this must be enabled :
How to enable BlackBerry S/MIME support package with the BlackBerry Administration Service settings
Smartcard package download:

But read this first:
Prerequisites to use S/MIME on a BlackBerry smartphone activated on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server
I personally used this many MANY times a few years back but not on a BB10 device, all BBOS devices.
Have fun!!
I have a bold 9900, to which you can not connect! and I have a passport, successful connection !! dai wonder if you can connect the blackberry smart card reader in two blackberry's
What are you using within the smart card reader itself? What type of PIV?
and a chip card, indicated by blackberry. the problem is not on the card, because it works on blackberry passport, I am unable to connect and the Blackberry 9900. Any solution ? [emoji3]
If memory serves (and again it has been a while) you need to use the old desktop manager app for the BB 990 to add the smart card reader package to the 9900.
