    Yes, Android apps can be run on the PlayBook. However, they will have to be all sideloaded as PlayBook OS doesn't have the direct APK install ability that BB 10.2.1+ has.

    Only Android apps based on 2.3 gingerbread are compatible. Add to that, only those apps that are Dalvik (non-native) will work. Lastly, any app that requires Google services, will not run on the PlayBook.

    Bottom line: not a great many Android apps made today will run.
