    Hi

I'm very happy with my BlackBerry Passport but as of late there is a glitch that is doing my head in. I can't hear the caller unless I use headphone or speakers. I have made sure that it's not muted and I have also increased the volume but to no avail.

Anyone knows what I should do. There is no service center in Thailand.

    Thanks for any input.

I had the same problem exactly once. It was due to extreme heat. I was outside in very hot conditions and it happened. Both wired and wireless headphones worked fine. After a restart and some cool down everything was OK. Never happened after.

I'm mostly in air conditioned office. I had this issue before too but after toggling the mute and volume button a couple of hundred times it got fixed. This time it doesn't seem to do the trick.

Try a hard reboot...hold power button down for 20-30 seconds until red LED flashes and BlackBerry boot logo reappears.
Then check your audio with BBVE to confirm hardware function.

Done. It failed the receiver audio test. I can't hear the audio.

When I record my voice and listen to it I hear it just fine though.

    Any idea what's happening?

I wiped the phone, did hard reset and tried everything I possibly could to fix it but nothing. I cant hear the caller mostly but rarely I can.

Unfortunately it appears that you may have a faulty speaker. Hopefully you have a warranty attached to device. Good luck.

Thanks buddy for all the help. I don't think I can tear down my Passport. I still love it. I'm going to use it with headphones / Bluetooth until I visit the US.
