Please tell us what happens to soft phones OS, if not a software upgrade. It will make the transition to Andoid phone considering that their price was considerably.
    Thanks.

If you're wondering if the Passport is going to be switched to Android, then tough luck.

    Ditto.

It has been stated on the BlackBerry Community Support Forums that the BB10 devices cannot be made to run Android. Maybe that isn't exactly true. But the meaning is still that BlackBerry is not going to do it, ever.

Personal opinion: Installing Android on a BB10 would be a severe downgrade.

I wouldn't say it's a downgrade. Android in general is more developed software, and in terms of features, it definitely dominates BlackBerry 10.
The only downside to Android is that it's a very heavy OS. That's why even the lower-end Android devices have specs that are on-par with the BlackBerry Z30.
BlackBerry 10 is a much lighter software which can run on weaker hardware, but it's severely underdeveloped.

    I did say personal opinion.

But a fact: More popular does not equate to better. Often, popular equates to the lowest common denominator.

Back to opinion: I would say there are many downsides. Every day there is something in the tech news that I can point to and say, "Yet another reason we don't use Android."

Specs aren't everything. And I don't know what more developed means. Reminds me of back in the day when some buyers were trying to decide between an Apple or an IBM PC and they would be told buy Apple because there are more apps. For the younger set, this is a generation before the iPod and Apple's return from the dead. And those saying buy Apple really didn't know anything, they were just spouting what they were hearing everyone else say.

Use what works for you. I have a very few needs that make BB10 best for me, and new reasons every day why I will never use Android.
