I recently bought an unlocked Verizon Blackberry Q10 off ebay. I was told I'd be able to activate on a Verizon service as long as I had a SIM Card for 4G LTE service. I went to Verizon today to activate and for some odd reason the SIM card would not take. They did a hard reset which took about 45minutes, then went to activate it and we waited an additional 15-20 minutes for the SIM card to activate but nothing happened. It activated on Verizon's end but you could not make calls, text messages etc on the phone. I had to reactivate my iPhone. Could there be a reason why it is not taking? PLEASE HELP!

have you checked to make sure it really is unlocked, under sim card there should be three categories all saying unlocked

Where would I look to find that out? But even if it wasn't unlocked wouldn't it still work if it is a Verizon phone and I'm using it for Verizon?

It says they are all unlocked. Any other suggestions why it may not be taking?

in the same place was the pin lock turned off, you could try a hard reset with the sim card in and try with it out

Where do you check if the pin lock is turned off? I don't want to try by myself because I did that last night before I went to Verizon and I couldn't receive calls on my iPhone or the Blackberry afterwards and I don't know why but it wouldn't and I needed my phone for work.

Its right above the place you checked to see if it was unlocked, try a hard reset by holding the volume up and down buttons in together for about 30 sec until you see the blue loading circle, no matter what pops up just hold till the circle shows up then let go,

It's turned off. Did the hard reset like you said, but if that doesn't work what else could it be?

Well the next thing i would try is a security wipe and set the phone up like new, as if you just picked it up at the store.

no i would just do a security wipe, its in settings and security you will see security wipe but plug your device into the wall and do it but it takes a while so just let it finish, it will shut off automatically when done,

The salesman at Verizon did that today, it took 45 minutes to do so. After that it wouldn't work either. I don't know what else it could be.

Have you tried another simcard? Maybe someone ripped you off with a broken reader.

I'm shipping it back to the person who sold it to me and getting my money back. It's not worth the hassle. Will just have to wait to buy a new phone from Verizon directly. Thanks for your help!
