    Most assuredly there is at least software differences unless you are also connected via BES. On top of that, I supposed it's possible that some hardware is different on his BlackBerry, like no camera and possibly something like SecurSmart.

    That just doesn't apply to Obama. A lot of government agencies will not let you in to certain part of a facility if you don't give up your cell phone with a camera or an active mic. Which is pretty much all phones now.
