    make sure it is plugged in and turned on with a working sim card in it, for at least an hour so it can connect to the network

    you can make a new ID, or reset the password as prompted on the device.

    What steps did he carry out to "accidentally" delete his BBID?

    My understanding is, with !0.3.2, that will not work. If you wiped the phone with BBerry protect ON you MUST have the original BBerry ID to get back on the phone.

    Read the link I supplied. If the phone is running 10.3.2 AND you deleted its BB ID AND protect was ON, AND you wiped the phone, you are locked out of the phone for good. Only BBerry can unlock it. (There are links explaining how to do this).

    You cannot "flash" it (legally) with anything.

    Here's the official BBerry method of getting your phone to work again:

    "If you purchased your device from ShopBlackBerry, Amazon (US/UK) or the Porsche Design Store, please contact BlackBerry using the details found on our Contact Us page.

    BlackBerry Contact Us > http://blck.by/1MxtqPR

    If you purchased your device from a wireless service provider, or a retail store in person, or online, please contact them for assistance.

    When contacting your point of purchase, please have the following prepared;

    DO NOT POST THIS INFORMATION IN FORUMS

    -Your BlackBerry ID
    -Proof of purchase such as a receipt
    -A copy of your wireless bill that shows your phone #
    -A copy of your Government issued ID

    Thanks,"
