If I have wi-fi signal only and no data plan from my carrier, will I be able to access my email through the messages app (without having to use the browser?) On older devices I was unable to do so because the emails are delivered with BBM which requires a data plan, or so I've heard. Is this different in BB10/Blackberry Classic? Can't find this answer online anywhere.

And also, if it is possible to access email properly w/ wifi only (if the answer to the first question is yes), would I be getting the emails via push, the second they hit my inbox, or would I have to manually check the app to see if I'd gotten an email?

Thanks so much for the help.

Yes because BB10 doesn't use BIS anymore.

And if I'm on wifi only, I usually get my emails right away (though I think you change sync settings if you want to conserve battery etc).
