    Well... if you own a Z30, BB10 isn't going to disappear.

    But eventually BlackBerry will stop supporting features like the Assistant.... 5 years or 2 years???

    It's happening on my Z30, first with the server, and now I'm getting a "Voice request wasn't understood" after a hard reboot.

    You can however, type your request and it will get respond with results, such as movies, and weather etc. But that voice thing just needs to work.... dang.

    BlackBerry has confirmed there is an issue with the Voice Assistant server and are working on it and it is supposed to be resolved shortly. Will have to wait till it gets fixed I guess.

    Also the read out loud function in the reader mode of Web browser is working again. That failed for me last week.

    In my opinion, 24 hours of downtime without any explanation is unacceptable. Imagine if Siri was down for this length of time without an official response. BlackBerry communication is very poor.

    The server side was shut down a year ago, but maybe they are unplugging what's left.

    That's interesting. If the server side was shutdown last year I wonder how I've been able to use it for hands-free phone operation until a few days ago?

    I've been holding off on replacing my Passport until the new BB/Android phones come out (hopefully) later this year.

    Hmmm.. It doesn't seem to be on-device. When I try to originate a phone call using a blue-tooth headset.

    1. Tap button on headset
    2. Prompted ..what do you wish to do.. (or whatever the wording is)
    3. I say "call"
    4. Reply is ...not understood...cannot connect to voice server.

    Is there a setting on the phone that might need to be changed?
