just need to ask a quick question. ive recently bought a new screen for my blackberry bold 9900. ive replaces it and it works fine, so when i went to plug my keypad back in it randomly shut down? i put my old screen back in and it done the same so i dont knoe if its the motherboard or the keypad which is broken? i dont know what part to replace.

nope i had the battery, sim card and sd card all unplugged.

okay but if i get a new motherboard will anything happen to my network on the phone? will the sim be locked?

No nothing will happen to your network on the phone or niether your sim card will be locked...and yeah its a hardware issue...change your motherboard...
